- Preparation of Concept clearance proposals for the projects
- Preparation of PC-Is
- Monitoring of Developmental Schemes
- Carrying out official correspondence with other departments under supervision of the head of department.
- Compilation of the progress of the developmental schemes
- Attending meeting regarding developmental schemes of the department with other departments.
- Suggesting technical advises/ways to other directorates for various official matters/correspondences
- Processing miscellaneous cases regarding developmental schemes.
- Preparation and presentation of Department progress in various forums.

- Capacity building of the staff of the Directorate of Planning & Development
- Strengthening of the Directorate of Planning & Development
- Presenting innovative ideas for development projects
- Constituting Monitoring Teams at Directorate Level.
- Arranging Exposure Visits for the staff of Directorate of Planning & Development.
- Imparting training for Project Preparation & Management to the staff of Livestock & Dairy Development.
- Establishment of Planning Section at District Level.
